EVENTS MANAGER - Austin, TX

Due to growth, we are looking for an experienced, energetic and brilliant Events Marketing Manager to lead the charge on our ambitious and growing events strategy as we teach the world about customer marketing automation as a service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all eRelevance events, including hosted prospect and customer events, trade shows, partner events, workshops and webinars.
  • Develop, manage and optimize events calendar, event evaluation process, timelines and events budget.
  • Strategize and execute on event approaches and formats by collaborating closely with sales, executive leadership, and demand gen team to determine appropriate coverage, ensuring event programs are effective in generating and accelerating pipeline.
  • Develop, manage and optimize pre- and post-event communications to drive prospect interactions and ensure timely followup and hand-offs in coordination with sales.
  • Lead post-event data collection, Salesforce.com tracking and reporting, including event ROI.
  • Manage the creation of pre- and post-event collateral and giveaways.

 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing marketing events and activities in B2B software (bonus points for experience in marketing technology).
  • Successful track record owning or being a key contributor to event marketing strategy and programs and reporting on effectiveness.
  • Proficiency with Marketo (or other comparable MAP/ESP), Salesforce.com and webinar platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-up, budgeting and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, generate creative solutions and manage multiple, time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.

As a software engineer at eRelevance, you will be responsible for designing solutions, building great features, writing solid code and leading and mentoring other developers as needed. You’ll need to learn new technologies on your own without formal instruction, drive to improve the overall quality of the code and completely re-architect parts of the system in production without causing downtime or functional issues. In addition, you’ll be responsible for deploying software to production and maintaining production systems.

We are growing and we need an E-mail Deliverability Specialist to join our team who is excited about solving the hardest e-mail challenges using creative problem-solving skills. Your strong analytical skills will be put to the test interpreting data from thousands of marketing campaigns run on our platform. What Will You Be Doing?

  • Identify and resolve common deliverability issues such as blacklists, complaints and block
  • Work closely with product management, engineering, creative teams and account management to provide counsel on practices that need to be improved and provide strategic recommendations based on your e-mail expertise
  • Technical and strategic work to improve the platform’s solutions to IP warm-up, DNS, e-mail relays, etc
  • Work with 3rd-party partners to define value-add services that improve deliverability
  • Document deliverability best practices internally and through blog posts
  • Analyze deliverability challenges, including inbox audit results, design and present solutions, and take appropriate action
  • Audit e-mail infrastructure and make recommendations for improvements
  • Use data to increase responses and increase client ROI
  • Provide guidance to clients on best practices, list management, etc

 

What Do You Need to Be Successful?

  • At least three to five years experience with online marketing applications such as Constant Contact, MailChimp
  • Must have a passion for analysis and troubleshooting with strong analytical skills in order to anticipate, diagnose and resolve issues
  • Expert knowledge of best practices for e-mail creation, sending, list building and list management
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues leveraging our platform and third-party data
  • Excellent communication skills, including adaptability in content, terminology, message, and style based on the audience
  • Experience using email campaign deployment and sending software including MTAs, DNS, SMTP and feedback loops
  • Ability to read and write HTML, CSS and preferably SQL
  • Proficiency in e-mail authentication technologies such as SenderID, SPF, DKIM, DMARC
  • Knowledge of CAN-SPAM, spam filtering techniques, and reputation management
  • Experience working with ISPs on deliverability issues, especially consumer ISP such as gmail, yahoo.com, etc.
